Slow Food Lunch
>> Saturday, August 2, 2008
Where slow=lazy subtract uncooked rice and add hot dog bun.
1. leftover chicken curry on a hot dog bun
2. cherries
3. potato salad
4. tiny bean filled cake
I have to admit this made for a suprisingly tasty sandwich. Good enough to repeat on purpose, though my first choice for bread probably wouldn't be an Aunt Hattie's potato bun.

So laziness is the mother of invention instead of necessity. I sort of always suspected that. It happens ALOT in my house. LOL!
You know what though, it works. It's so very summer. Yum!
I have to ask - and it always surprises me when people ask me, but - is that enough food for you? Are you 5' and 100 lbs. or something? There is no way that's enough food! Hahaha
I am a big fan of putting Indian food on hamburger or hot dog buns. One of my favorites is ghugni (also called chhole - chick pea curry) on a whole wheat hamburger bun. My mom thinks that's weird. I just think it's good. I also like that on a whole wheat pita - stuff stays contained.
Please explain to me how that is any different than serving it with roti or any other flatbread alongside. When I point this out my mom just shakes her head and says, "Well, that's just not how it's done, but if that's how YOU like it, well..." I guess she's a purist that way. Oh well. Looks yummy.
